Today on Mother's Day we started off the day with the three of us in bed looking back at the past year in photographs. This past year has been full of changes - especially with our little girl. She is now full of words, energy, surprises, and imagination. She brushes her own teeth, puts on her own shoes, definitely has her own opinion, and is blossoming into a joyful, sweet, and beautiful little girl. I look forward every morning to see what she is going to say that she has never said before and learn new things about her. Her current favorites are wearing "pretty" dresses, the color yellow, picking flowers, kitty cats, singing "Happy Birthday" and new songs she learns at preschool, Abby Caddaby, Veggie Tales, and always playing outside with friends. It is a pure joy to be a mom to such an amazing girl. I definitely couldn't do it without my wonderful husband who is the greatest daddy I know.

Soon we will have another life in our family - and we can't wait to meet him! This pregnancy has gone by so fast yet we still feel like we need more time to prepare for our little guy to arrive. The nursery is ready, we have diapers, the double stroller, and clothes but preparing for a newborn to come is truly not possible until the day arrives. Jackson's due date is July 17th but he is measuring 10 days ahead so we will see...I may get my wish and have a 4th of July baby! We'll just have to wait and see!
